Webshop assistant: products, orders, returns and codes

Turn the chatbot into a shop assistant that knows your catalog, checks orders only for the right person and offers discounts within your own rules.

Switch on the shop assistant and the chatbot can talk about your shop, not only FAQ text. It works from your synced catalog and orders instead of guessing. For the basics, see AI chatbot.

Products

  • Search, recommendations and variants come from your synced catalog. Prices, stock and every size or variant with its availability are given exactly as stored, and the bot only mentions products it actually looked up.
  • The catalog is filled by a Shopify back-fill and kept current by Shopify updates. For WooCommerce, products arrive through webhooks as they are updated.
  • In the web chat, products appear as cards with title, price, stock, link and image. On WhatsApp and e-mail they appear as plain lines with links.

Order status and returns

  • Order status is shown only after the shopper proves the order: the order number plus the phone or e-mail it was placed with. A wrong number and someone else's order look identical, and repeated failed attempts are limited. The shopper sees status, items, total and tracking, never an address, phone number or e-mail.
  • Return window check: the bot tells the shopper whether the order is inside the return window you set and how to return.
  • Return requests: the bot can file a request for your team, with a note and a tag. Nothing is refunded or changed by the bot.

Discounts inside your rules

You give the assistant a pool of codes from discount code pools, the situations in which a code may be offered, a daily cap and one code per person per N days. The model asks; the server decides. A code that was not issued by the server never goes out, so a shopper cannot talk the bot into one. An anonymous web visitor gets no code until they have proven an order.

Back in stock

On SMS and e-mail conversations the shopper can ask to be told when a product or size is available again. They get one message, never two. Back-in-stock messages are not sent on WhatsApp.

Page and cart context

In the web chat you can opt in to let the widget tell the assistant which page and which cart the shopper is looking at, so it can answer "does this come in blue?". An optional gentle nudge can open the chat once per visit, on the pages you pick, and never while the chat is open.

What it earns

Shop insights show the products shoppers ask about most, searches your shop cannot answer, and out-of-stock demand. Assisted revenue counts orders placed within 48 hours after an answer to the same shopper. It shows timing, not proof that the chat caused the order.

Honest limits

  • WooCommerce order history starts when the webhooks start; nothing before that is known.
  • The cart and the current page are reported by the visitor's browser.
  • Abandoned-cart follow-up from the chat is not available.
